The WKF is promoting Karate’s bid to be in the Olympics in 2020.
Since the campaign The K is on the way has started over 30,000 supporters are backing the bid on facebook.
Many have joined together, irrespectively of which style we practise and follow, whatever our age is. Karate puts us together and our aim is Karate, its history and its values.
Next May Karate will face another crucial test before the International Olympic Committee. The dream is nearer but we cannot give up telling the world how strong we are, how unite we stand, how Karate deserves to be Olympic.
Please, let’s keep on spreading our bid to be Olympic in 2020, keep on diffusing our website and our Facebook site by encouraging your pupils, your friends and mates to click ‘like’ on the right top corner on our Facebook Page; also by sharing our news, photos and stories; by sending us yours.
When Karate will become Olympic we will remember proudly how we fought for it and how we followed this way together with the K.
We say 30.000 times thank you and more to come
The World Juniors & Cadet Karate Championships 2013 will be held in Guadalajara Spain from November 7-10.
It is for me and for all of the components of the World Karate family a great pleasure to visit Guadalajara and Spain. Around 100 countries from the five continents are going to meet in Guadalajara around Karate, a sport that is proving day by day not only how deep it is merged in our society but also the added value that its practice gives irrespective of age and condition. Spain is a very important piece of the World Karate Federation, for both qualitative and quantitative reasons.
Antonio Espinós, President of World Karate Federation
